Six Melbourne Southern Stars players arrested this year for alleged match-fixing.

Notorious fixer Wilson Raj Perumal in custody as part of a probe into games fixed domestically and across Europe. It is claimed that Debrecen's Champions League games with Liverpool and Fiorentina were fixed.

Footballer Dominique Taboga arrested yesterday for alleged attempt to fix top-flight games.

In 2006, Juventus, Lazio and Fiorentina were relegated over match-fixing and Milan and Reggina docked points.

A long-running investigation claims there was 319 suspected cases of fixing and 425 suspects.

Former U21 international Mario Cizmek was convicted of helping fix top-flight games.

A Moldovan player was banned for trying to help fix a Ukrainian league game in 2007/8.

Next year, 31 people will go on trial accused of fixing top-flight games. from 2004 to 2006.

Spanish league president claimed that "eight or nine" games are fixed each season.

Played in two friendlies in 2011 in which all seven goals were penalties. Unknown to the teams, the games were set up by a match-fixing ring, which bribed the match officials, who have since been banned.

In 2011, two referees were found to have helped fix 11 league games during the 2005 season.
