ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday said that Pakistan attaches special importance to its good relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Prime Minister expressed these views during a meeting with Commander of the National Guard of Bahrain, Lieutenant General Sheikh Mohammad bin Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, who called on him here at the PM House.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on bilateral and regional matters.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the importance Pakistan attached to brotherly relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain.
On the bilateral plane, the Prime Minister highlighted the excellent relations between Pakistan and Bahrain, marked by growing trade as well as close cooperation at the multilateral fora.
The Prime Minister said that Bahrain also hosts a sizeable Pakistani community which is making positive contribution to the development of Bahrain and is sending remittances, supporting Pakistan's economy as well.
He also stressed the importance of deepening investment ties to impart greater vigour to the economic partnership between the two countries.
Commander of the National Guard of Bahrain re-iterated the commitment of Kingdom of Bahrain to further strengthening ties between the two governments and its people.
