Punjab was the winner of the championships with 105 points. Pakistan Railways team was runners up with 82 points followed by Wapda with 31 points.
Yousaf Rafique (56kg) from Railways created three national records in 56kg category by lifting 95kg in Snatch, 123kg in clean +Jerk with a total of 218kg (all New National Youth records).
Team from Wapda, Railways, Punjab, Sind, Balochistan, KP, Fata and Islamabad participated in the two-day competitions of under-20 lifters. All leading national and international players, officials and coaches were present during this event. Hafiz Salman Butt was the chief guest of closing ceremony and gave away the prizes among winners.
New National Record holders from Punjab Yousaf Rafique and Farhan Amjad Butt received the championship winner trophy from chief guest. Runners-up trophy was received by Railways team coaches Abdul Khaliq and Muhammad Farooq.
At this occasion International CEO PWLF Hafiz Imran Butt, Referee Cat 1 and international coach Rashed Malik, Amjid Amin Butt (Secretary PWLF), Ali Aslam Ch (Treasurer PWLF), Mushtaq Ahmed Ch Secretary Punjab Weightlifting WL, M Azhar, Aleem lqbal Dar, Abdul Sattar Rahi, Abdul Shakoor, Nasir Abbas and leading ex- international weightlifters were present and supported junior weightlifters from all provinces including Islamabad and leading departmental teams.
