KARACHI: Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, Hiroshi Inomata has said his country was keen to get materialized the Circular Railway Project for Karachi.
In a call-on meeting with Governor of Sindh, Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan on Tuesday he said his country is providing assistance for varied mega projects in Sindh and its capital Karachi.
These were said to also include Mehran Highway, Mass Transit besides several other development schemes.
Hiroshi Inomata said Japan would continue to particularly support Pakistan in completion of different infra-structure related projects.
Governor of Sindh appreciative of Japan's support for mega projects in the province said the government is committed to provide all relevant support and assistance to the investors from Japan.
Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan projects like circular railway, mass transit, Mehran highway would definitely go a long way in strengthening Pak - Japan friendship.
He said investors from Japan can take optimum opportunity to invest in Sindh and that the provincial government has already allocated vast piece of land for these investors in Thatta.
He said Japanese investors have registered their deep interest in small scale investment in the allocated area.
"I would suggest my friends from Japan to take advantage of our man-power with particular reference to their training and skill enhancement as this would emerge as efficient work force," said the Governor of Sindh.
"We also have no dearth of natural resources and do need support of technologically developed countries as Japan to assist us in its due exploration and application," he added.
With specific reference to Karachi, he said investors can take advantage of the mega-polis that is not only a port city but also hold all capacities as a commercial hub.
Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan said Pakistan itself due to its geographical location and opportunities in terms of human and natural resources is an attractive destination for investors.
