KARACHI: Ameer (chief) of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Syed Munawar Hassan giving a sweeping statement accused all the political leaders of being scared of US, Geo News reported.
“They are all so afraid of America that they can’t even stand up like a man against the drone attacks, which are out and out a violation of the sovereignty of Pakistan”, Hassan said talking to a protest rally staged against drone attacks.
He declared that all the hegemonic US policies ran counter to the interests of Islamic Ummah.
"The government should be alive to the fact that US designs its policies to exploit and weaken Islamic Ummah", said he.
He said those who voted Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) into power should question Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as to what did he do to stop US from breaching Pakistan’s sovereignty.
“Prime Minister Nawaz Shairf, Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan, and Advisor to PM on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz should apologize to the nation for all the drone attacks”, said JI Ameer.
He demanded of the government to revisit its foreign policy and stop bowing down to US and India.
